Description
The ZEISS CLARUS 500 is the latest ultra-wide-angle retinal camera, or fundus camera, which takes a color image of the fundus of the eye. The colors correspond to the natural coloration of the fundus of the eye, which significantly simplifies diagnosis and facilitates documentation of the course of eye diseases, thereby providing unprecedented safety when diagnosing the optic nerve, as well as nevi and lesions of the eye.
ZEISS CLARUS 500 allows clinicians to track subtle changes in pathology over time. In addition to true color imaging, it also captures high-resolution fundus autofluorescence (FAF) images–FAF-Blue and FAF-Green–and external eye images. Along with an intuitive review software, the ultra-high-resolution of this next-generation retinal camera from ZEISS allows clinicians to manage change with confidence.
Legacy ultra-widefield imaging systems require doctors to maintain a traditional high-resolution fundus camera for the diagnosis and management of optic nerve and macular diseases. CLARUS 500 from ZEISS is the first fundus imaging system to provide true color and clarity within an ultra-wide field of view, enabling clinicians to capture high-resolution fundus images from the macula to the far periphery.
Key Features & Benefits:
- ✅ Ultra-Widefield Imaging (up to 200°) – Capture more of the retina in a single image for comprehensive diagnostic capability.
- ✅ True Color, Red-Free & Autofluorescence Imaging – Visualize retinal pathology with unmatched clarity and detail.
- ✅ High-Resolution (7.3μm per pixel) – Superior image quality for early detection of retinal diseases.
- ✅ Fast & Comfortable for Patients – Non-mydriatic imaging minimizes discomfort and improves workflow efficiency.
- ✅ Advanced Disease Detection – Ideal for monitoring diabetic retinopathy, AMD, glaucoma, and more.
- ✅ DICOM Compatible – Seamless integration with existing EMR systems for easy data management.
