Description

Topcon CT-1P represents a new generation of non-contact blood pressure monitors from TOPCON. It has a built-in pachymetric sensor that allows you to correct IOP readings directly during its measurement. The fully automated pneumotonometer CT-1P does not have a joystick in its design, and an 8.5-inch color touchscreen monitor controls the entire device.

These functions work automatically when pointing, focusing, measuring IOP, and moving the device from one eye to another. It is enough for the operator or doctor to start the study with one touch on the pupil image on the pneumotonometer monitor. The pneumotonometer software controls the optimal amount of air required for each measurement. The soft air shot reduces the patient’s stress from the examination.

Non-contact tonometer-pachymeter ST-1R takes the automation of use to a new level. The tonometer of this model automatically measures intraocular pressure (IOP) and performs pachymetry in both eyes by touching the center of the pupil image on the touch control panel.

All operating procedures can be carried out using the rotary touch screen. Measuring with a soft air jet reduces eye exposure and improves patient comfort.

Key Features of the Topcon CT-1P Tonometer

  • The tonometer’s automation is implemented as a simple control on a touch rotary display.
  • The tonometer receives the results of tonometry and pachymetry automatically.
  • For the convenience and comfort of the patient, as well as for accurate results, the tonometer is supplied with a soft jet of air (flexibly configured using software).
  • The device ensures the safety of the cornea of the human eye from accidental touches of the nozzle.
  • All obtained IOP values have a guarantee of correctness regardless of the thickness of the cornea of the patient’s eye.

The CT-1R tonometer can calculate the corrected IOP value based on the values obtained during pachymetry, which helps to bring the reliability of IOP values depending on the actual thickness of the cornea.

The adjustable control panel allows the operator to position himself anywhere near the patient as the modern touch panel rotates in various directions.

The flexible control panel enables the Topcon CT-1P to be installed in many positions in the examination room. The CT-1/lP provides an innovative operation experience and eliminates the need for a control lever. By combining it with the Topcon Kerato-Refractometer KR-1, built with the same concept, you will save space in your examination room. The air-puff mechanism ensures a soft air puff and requires less maintenance and cleaning. The CT-1/lP is an innovative and high-quality non-contact tonometer.

Features:

Corneal Thickness Measurements

Corneal-Thickness-Measurements

The CT-1P provides compensated IOP values with central corneal thickness. Studies show that central corneal thickness can affect IOP measurements; for example, IOP values measured with a conventional sphygmomanometer are higher in eyes with thicker corneas, and thin central corneal thickness can also affect the diagnosis of normal pressure glaucoma.

Rotary control panel

Rotary-control-panel

The freely rotatable 2D touchscreen control panel allows the operator to position himself to the right/left/behind or in front of the patient with complete control over the measurement. This design feature allows you to place the tonometer against the wall or even in the corner of the room.

Security features

Security-features

The CT-1P blood pressure monitor includes new safety features that have been implemented in a fully automated manner. The instrument has an innovative safety feature that allows you to maintain a preset-set distance manually (e.g., 8-9 mm) between the cornea and the nozzle, in addition to an on-screen notification and an audible alarm if the cornea and the instrument are too close.

Service

The design of the CT-1P nozzle helps prevent dust and debris from entering the camera. This greatly reduces the need for cleaning and maintenance.

Built-in printer

Built-in-printer

The CT-1P has a built-in thermal printer that can quickly load paper rolls. The CT-1P automatically cuts the paper at the end of printing.

  1. Operator ID
  2. The measured value of intraocular pressure
  3. The measured value of central corneal thickness
  4. The measured value is displayed in units of “mmHg. St.”
  5. The measured value is displayed in “hPa” units.
  6. Message column

Simple and Quick Operation :

  • R/L fully automated measurement
  • Easy-to-Use Touch Screen Control Panel eliminates the need for a control lever
  • Additional Measurement Mode

Flexible and Space-Saving Layout:

  • The adjustable control panel can be positioned in any direction
  • Compact Body

Reliable Measurements:

  • New ergonomic optical head and headrest design
  • Stable IOP measurement with soft Air-Puff
  • Corneal thickness measurement for IOP compensation (CT-lP only)

Flexible Layout and Space-Saving Layout:-

The adjustable control panel allows the operator to position him or herself anywhere around a patient since the control panel can be faced in several directions. In addition, the compact body enables the operator to support the patient easily from many different positions during the measurement, even when the patient’s eyelid needs to be opened. These unique features will contribute to a space-saving and flexible layout in your eye examination room, especially if combined with the Topcon KR-1 Auto Kerato-Refractometer.

Soft Air Puff :

The soft air puff used for measurement leads to less stress, more patient comfort, and better compliance during the measurement procedure. The improved software controls the amount of air required for each eye.

New Compact Ergonomic Design :

The CT-1/1P’s new ergonomic design provides a more comfortable position for the patient with an inclined optical
head (5°) and a new headrest design.

Safety Functions :

The CT-1/1P incorporates new safety functions designed in a fully automated style. The instrument features an innovative safety function to keep manually preset distance (ex.8-9mm) between the cornea and the nozzle, in addition to the “TOO CLOSE” notification on the screen and a buzzer alert if the cornea and the instrument are too close.

Reduced Nozzle Maintenance :

The nozzle design of the CT-1/1P helps prevent dust and debris from entering the chamber. This significantly reduces the need for cleaning and maintenance.
